After.Life

The film revolves around an elementary school teacher, Anna Taylor (Christina Ricci), who is unhappy with her life. She has a selfish, unloving mother, Beatrice (Celia Weston), and a boyfriend, Paul Coleman (Justin Long), who can't seem to figure her out. The film opens as a corpse is in the process of being prepared for a funeral; the man preparing the corpse speaks to it mysteriously, but cheerily. He takes a photo, and the scene fades. Anna is introduced along with Paul, as they finish having sex. She appears unaffected and cold, while he is frustrated with her disinterest. Later, after school, a young boy she teaches, Jack (Chandler Canterbury), asks her as she as leaving to the funeral , if he could come along. He says his mother, who had neglected to pick him up from school, would not mind. Confused, she attempts to explain that funerals are a personal occasion. Jack offers that he has never been to a funeral before, but she insists it would be inappropriate. The funeral is revealed to be for her recently deceased music teacher, the corpse from the initial scene. There, Anna encounters the solemn owner of the funeral home, Eliot Deacon (Liam Neeson). One night, Anna meets Paul for dinner, not realizing he is going to propose to her and ask her to move to Chicago with him for a job promotion. Paul begins ambiguously, so Anna assumes the worst. Before Paul has a chance to explain, she panics, thinking he's breaking up with her. After a short argument in the restaurant, Anna storms out and drives off passionately. She has an accident while trying to use her cell phone and drive in the rain, while a mysterious white Van is seen on the road alongside.
Anna wakes up dazed, confused, and numb. She finds the morgue director, Eliot, cleaning her wound and telling her she has died. He appears frustrated with her, explaining that all dead people claim to be alive just because they, "breathe and piss and shit." He tells her he has a gift, to assist the dead crossing over; to help them accept their deaths. Later in the funeral home, Eliot is revealed to have a collection of photographs of corpses, it is implied that he helped each to cross over, and speaks to them, implying a level of mental instability. Unwilling to accept her potential death, Anna clings onto life. Eliot injects her regularly with a chemical to "relax the muscles and keep rigor mortis from setting in." Paul, unable to fully accept her death, asks Eliot if he could see her one last time; however, Eliot cannot, by law, show the body to anyone but family. Paul becomes quite angry, but leaves. Attempting to gain access to her, he pleads with friends in the police, who are sympathetic but unwilling. Anna is revealed not to have been taken to a hospital, rather pronounced dead at the scene and shipped to the funeral home. At an unknown funeral service, Eliot encounters Jack. They speak for a moment, during which Jack admits he had thought the funeral had been for Anna. As she still grapples with the concept of her own death, Anna attempts to escape several times but is unsuccessful; Eliot tells her she must let go of life, she had not really been living anyway. Eventually, she steals Eliot's keys, escapes, and finds a room with a phone, intent on calling Paul for help. Paul is unable to hear her properly and hangs up thinking it's a prank. Anna finally accepts she's dead, when Eliot allows her to look at herself in the mirror. She is horrified to find she looks like a corpse. Outside, Eliot spots Jack, gazing up at Anna. In a scene in his home, Jack's apparently negligent mother is shown to be sitting with a grotesque appearance, staring at the television set. At school he tells Paul he saw Anna, which sends Paul into a rage, hitting the boy. Upon confronting Eliot, Jack is told he has the same gift: the ability to see those between life and death as they really are. Eliot tells the boy that the first person he saw was his mother, alluding to Jack's ambiguously stoic mother. Over time, Paul becomes ever more paranoid as to whether or not Anna really is dead; he becomes suspicious of Eliot.
During the final preparation for the funeral, Anna asks Eliot if she can see herself one last time in the mirror. Eliot holds up a small mirror, but while she stares at herself, she takes a deep breathe and notices her it condense on the glass. Suddenly concerned that Eliot has been lying to her, she begins to believe she has been alive all along. Disappointed that she had come so close to accepting her death yet failed, Eliot grimly injects her one last time with chemicals to make her numb. In the graveyard while digging Anna's grave with Jack, Eliot explains that there are many corpses walking around with "no life left inside them," and because only they can see them, it is their responsibility to help them into the grave. It is never revealed whether this is metaphorical or literal.
After the funeral, Paul drinks heavily, telling Eliot he knew Anna wasn't dead. Anna is shown awakening while being buried. Trying to cry out and open the coffin, she struggles against death. As she slowly dies in the coffin, Eliot offers that Paul should go to the cemetery and find out whether Anna is actually dead or not, before it's too late. Paul rushes to the cemetery, driving under the influence and speedily. There is another ambiguous cut before he is shown to have dug up Anna's grave, to find her alive. They embrace and Anna tells him "she has always loved him." Paul then sees a flash of light and wakes up in the morgue with Eliot preparing his body. He says he saw Anna and Eliot tells him he never made it to the cemetery due to a car accident that killed him. It is left fully ambiguous whether Eliot is telling the truth, or simply a serial killer; but it's pretty obvious that he perpares death for those who did not appreciate life. Jack is shown to have become his protege. Paul claims just as vehemently as Anna that he is not dead, as they begin preparing his body.

Chloe

I dont know why but I did appreciate watching this film, aside from it stars two of my favorite actors: Amanda Seyfried and Liam Neeson.

The movie was kind of erotic, full of mature sexual scenes. Sexual scenes by Amanda Seyfried (Chloe) and Julianne Moore ( Catherine Stewart). Yes it is indeed a female sexual intercourse. But but it was maturely done.

Movie Plot from wikipedia.org:

The film opens with Chloe (Amanda Seyfried) dressing herself in front of a dirty mirror. In a voice over, she discusses her business as a call girl, explaining that she must be capable of pleasing her clients with her words, as well as with her actions.

Catherine (Julianne Moore), a gynecologist, is working in her office. She glances out of her window at different times to see Chloe entering hotels with her clients. Catherine's husband David (Liam Neeson), a college professor, lectures to a class in another city. Catherine hosts a surprise birthday party for David, who has not yet arrived. After assuring the guests that David is just minutes away, she gets a call from him saying that he missed his flight and will not make it home in time for his birthday. The next morning ,after arriving home, Catherine suspects David of having an affair after she sees a picture of him and the female student hugging on his phone.

That evening David and Catherine go to dinner with two friends. David flirts with the waitress, upsetting Catherine. Catherine goes to the restroom and enters a stall. Overhearing a woman crying in the next stall, she asks her if everything is okay. Catherine hands her some toilet paper under the partition and exits her stall. The woman (Chloe) follows. As they are washing their hands, Chloe offers Catherine her hairpin. Catherine refuses, kindly, then says she must return to her husband. During dinner, Catherine notices Chloe with another client.

After work, Catherine stops by the hotel bar where Chloe spends the majority of her time waiting for potential clients. Chloe, looking at Catherine passionately, tells her that she "[doesn't] usually meet with women." Catherine reassures Chloe, explaining that she suspects her husband of infidelity. She wants Chloe to go to David's coffee shop in the morning and test his loyalty. The next evening Catherine and Chloe meet at a bar. Chloe tells Catherine that she asked David to kiss her, and he did. Angered, Catherine tells Chloe that that wasn't what she wanted her to do. However, she insists that Chloe meet with David again.

The next evening, Chloe tells Catherine that she went with David to a garden, where she seduced him. Catherine is heartbroken. Once more, she insists that Chloe meet with David again. The next day Catherine receives a text message from Chloe at work, asking her to meet her at a hotel. When Catherine arrives, Chloe tells her that she had sex with David. She describes the encounter in explicit detail, but rather than causing Catherine more heartbreak, it arouses her. Chloe, feeling remorse, kisses Catherine, who abruptly leaves.

At home, David sends instant messages to someone on his computer and pays little attention to Catherine. Upset, Catherine meets Chloe at a hotel and has sex with her. Afterwards, Catherine and Chloe share a taxi and Chloe offers her her hairpin again. She says it was her mother's, and she wants Catherine to have it. Catherine doesn't reply to Chloe but she takes the hairpin. Catherine enters her home to find David waiting for her. He asks her if she's been unfaithful. Catherine becomes infuriated and tells him she's been meaning to ask him the same question. David declines to respond.

The next afternoon, Catherine arrives at her office after lunch to find several missed calls from Chloe and an email with a picture of them in bed together. Catherine calls her and discovers that Chloe is waiting in her waiting room. Chloe enters Catherine's office with flowers, and asks her if she enjoyed the sex the night before. Embarrassed, Catherine admits that she did, but explains that their business is finished and pays her for the work she has done. Chloe leaves Catherine's office crying. Seeking revenge, Chloe goes to Michael’s (Catherine's son) hockey practice and they flirt.

That night Catherine and David go to a coffee house, where Catherine demands that David admit that he is having an affair. David admits that he lied to her for avoiding the birthday party (because he didn't want to celebrate his birthday), but he denies that he is having an affair. Chloe suddenly walks in and David genuinely does not appear to know who Chloe is. Chloe realizes that it is a trap and leaves quickly. Catherine realizes that Chloe made up her encounters with David and that Chloe loved her because Catherine gave her attention.

Catherine apologizes to David for not having trusted him, and admits that she worried about him because she was getting older and more insecure about her appearance. Then she confesses her sexual encounters with Chloe. David, shocked but understanding, embraces and kisses her.

Jealous, Chloe goes to Catherine's home and has sex with Michael in Catherine and David's bed. Catherine arrives home to find them. Chloe tells Catherine that "money isn't enough to make her go away". Catherine apologizes and Catherine asks Chloe what she wants. Chloe asks for one last kiss and Catherine complies. Michael then sees what is going on on, startling Catherine and causing her to accidentally push Chloe into the bedroom window, breaking the glass. Chloe manages to grab hold of the frame but then, with a triumphant smile, lets herself fall and dies. Later, at Michael's graduation party, Catherine is shown to be wearing Chloe's hairpin in her hair.

What if? Just what if this happens to your family how would you do about it. Oh well, just a simple thought.

Just Wright

I'm not a huge basket ball fan but this movie made me appreciate this movie even better. The movie tells about the life of an NBA player (fiction) who met an injury during a basket ball.

Leslie Wright is a straight-shooting physical therapist who gets the gig of a lifetime working with NBA All-Star Scott McKnight. All is going well until Leslie finds herself falling for Scott, forcing her to choose between the gig and the tug-of-war inside her heart. Oblivious to her romantic overtures, McKnight is instead drawn to the affections of Leslie's childhood friend Morgan, who has her sights set on being an NBA trophy wife. Is Leslie destined to play the role of "best friend" forever or will Scott finally see that what he always wanted is right in front of him?

Movie Plot from wikipedia.org:

Leslie Wright (Queen Latifah) is a straight-shooting physical therapist tired of being a guy's girl. She and her God-sister, Morgan, are living together and Morgan wants to be an NBA trophy wife. After a Nets basketball game, Leslie helps star player, Scott McKnight (Common) at the gas station. He invites her to his birthday party, where she shows up with Morgan. He meets Morgan and suddenly takes an interest in her. After a quick relationship, Scott and Morgan end up being engaged. At the 2009 NBA All-Star Game (which was filmed at the Izod Center even though the game really took place at the US Airways Center), Scott becomes injured, an injury that could possibly ruin his career. Morgan suggests that he enlist the help of Leslie, since she did not approve of his previous gorgeous physical therapist, so Leslie moves into their home. Rumors circle that Scott's career would end quickly if he did not recover by the playoffs, which causes Morgan to leave Scott through a letter. Scott becomes extremely upset, discouraged to continue recovery. Leslie encourages him and helps him get back in the game, the two of them spending a lot of time together. Scott is able to return to the NBA right before the playoffs, winning his first game back. Leslie and Scott decide to spend a romantic evening together, but Leslie wakes up to Morgan at Scott's door hoping to reconcile. Leslie quickly moves out as Scott and Morgan reunite. Because Leslie helped Scott recover in such a short amount of time, many teams offered her the position as a trainer. Most likely to make the Sixers her new team, Scott quickly stops her when he realizes that he is in love with her. They are shown a year later, with Leslie working as one of the Nets team trainers and she and Scott have wed.

RESIDENT EVIL

Resident Evil is a movie franchise which stars Milla Jovovich who plays as Alice.

The 1st movie franchise was released on the year 2002(Resident Evil: Survive the Horror), Jovovich then was co-starred by Michelle Rodriguez, Eric Mabius, and James Purefoy.

Movie Plot (from Wikipedia):

Inside The Hive, a top-secret genetic research facility owned by the Umbrella Corporation located deep beneath Raccoon City, an unidentified thief drops a blue vial in a lab, exits, and seals the room. The vial breaks and the facility's artificial intelligence, The Red Queen, detects possible infection, and in response, seals the Hive and purposefully uses the facility's fire suppression systems to kill everyone inside.

Elsewhere, Alice (Milla Jovovich) awakens in an empty mansion with amnesia. She and a police officer, Matt (Eric Mabius), are seized by a group of commandos and taken to an underground train station which leads to The Hive. They are joined by Spence (James Purefoy), who is also suffering from amnesia. The head of the commandos, “One”, explains that everyone in the group, except the police officer, is an employee of the Umbrella Corporation. It is also revealed that The Red Queen is responsible for releasing a nerve gas in the mansion which has caused their amnesia. When the train arrives, the group opens and enters The Hive.

The group eventually finds their way to The Queen's chamber, but the core is protected by a deadly laser defense system. Four of the commandos, including One, are killed. The only commandos left alive are Rain (Michelle Rodriguez), Kaplan, and J.D. Alice and Kaplan then enter the core room with an EMP device designed to disable The Queen. The AI manifests itself as a holographic image of a young girl and makes a final plea to not disable it. The Queen's warnings are ignored, the system is disabled, and primary power fails which opens the doors of the facility, releasing the now zombified staff and other experiments into The Hive. During a battle between the group and some of the zombies, Rain becomes infected after receiving multiple bite wounds and J.D. is killed.

As the group moves throughout The Hive, Alice and Spence slowly regain their memory. Later, Matt and Alice are separated from Kaplan, Rain, and Spence, who remain in near The Queen's chamber. Matt looks for information about his sister, while Alice encounters several dogs which were experimented on and surprises herself when she uses martial arts to defend herself.

Matt eventually finds his sister, Lisa, who is now a zombie. As she attacks him, Alice arrives in time to save him. Matt explains that he and Lisa unsuccessfully attempted to smuggle out a sample of the blue vial, the T-Virus, in the hopes of taking down Umbrella. Matt believes this to be the fault of Lisa's contact, who supposedly betrayed her. Alice, remembering she was Lisa's contact, remains silent.

Soon, the survivors are once more united at The Queen's chamber and are forced to switch her back on to find an exit; the Red Queen agrees to help them. As Alice and the others try to escape through the maintenance tunnels, they are ambushed by zombies. Kaplan is separated from the rest of the team on their way to the train. Alice suddenly remembers that an anti-virus exists that could cure the T-Virus infection.

Upon their arrival at the lab, they find that the vials containing the T-Virus and anti-virus are gone. Spence, fully regaining his memory, is shown as the person who stole and released the virus and stashed the anti-virus on the train. He traps the survivors in the lab and heads toward the train, but before he can inject himself with the anti-virus, he is killed by a mutated creature called the Licker. Back at the lab, The Queen offers to spare Alice and Matt if they kill Rain, who has been infected for too long for the anti-virus to work. As the Licker attempts to bash through the lab window to get to them, a sudden power-outage occurs. The laboratory door opens to reveal Kaplan, who has permanently disabled the Red Queen.

The four survivors start the train before The Hive is locked in quarantine. As the train heads back to the mansion, the Licker hurls Kaplan from the train and attacks the group. Alice battles the Licker as Matt kills a now zombified Rain. Matt, after having been clawed by the Licker, opens a trap door on the bottom of the train, causing the Licker to be dragged along the track and burned to death.

Matt and Alice arrive at the mansion, and escape at the last moment when the doors close. Matt begins to mutate due to the Licker's unstable T-Virus, which affected Matt through his claw wounds. Before Alice can give him the anti-virus, the mansion doors burst open and Umbrella scientists seize them. They subdue Alice and take Matt away, revealing he is to be put into the "Nemesis Program" and they intend to re-open the Hive. Alice attempts to fend them off, but they overpower her and knock her unconscious.

2010 comes the Resident Evil Afterlife.

With the trend of 3D movies, director Paul W.S. Anderson made its third installment 3D.

Movie Plot (from Wikipedia)

After the events of Resident Evil: Extinction, the Alice clones (Milla Jovovich) attempt to killAlbert Wesker (Shawn Roberts) at his base in Japan. All present clones are killed in an explosion, as Wesker escapes in an aircraft. The original Alice ambushes him, but Wesker injects her with a serum that neutralizes the T-virus in her system, eliminating her superhuman powers and making her human again. He reveals that his T-Virus powers have surpassed her own, but before he can kill her, the aircraft crashes and Alice emerges from the wreckage.

Six months later, Alice follows a repeating emergency broadcast from a survivors' safe haven known as "Arcadia" in Alaska. After many fruitless months searching for Arcadia and finding no survivors along the way, including her friends Claire Redfield (Ali Larter) and K-Mart (Spencer Locke), Alice begins to lose hope, believing herself to be the last surviving human on the planet. Stopping on an abandoned beach, Alice finds the helicopter taken by Claire and the others when they and Alice parted ways. A crazed Claire, under the influence of an Umbrella Corporation device attached to her chest, attacks her. Alice removes the device, finding that it has damaged Claire's memory, which she slowly regains.

Flying a two-person plane, they enter the ruins of Los Angeles and find a small group of survivors, led by Luther West (Boris Kodjoe) living in a maximum security prison, surrounded bythe undead. Alice crash lands the plane on the roof of the prison and learn that Arcadia is not a fixed place but actually a cargo tanker traveling along the coast. Since the plane cannot take more than two, Alice and the survivors try to figure out a means to make it to Arcadia together. The survivors have been keeping watch on a prisoner, Chris (Wentworth Miller), whom they found locked in a maximum security cell when they arrived. He says that he is a soldier who fought the early outbreak, but was locked up by prisoners as a cruel joke when the mission failed and knows a way to reach the coast, and thereby Arcadia, but will not reveal it unless he is released.

They do not believe him, and keep him locked up until the undead manage to tunnel through the sewer ways and up into the prison, and a giant axe wielding Nemesis monster starts to break down the front gate; Alice and survivors are out of time to find a means to reach Arcadia so they decide to free Chris and use his escape route. He recognizes Claire and reveals himself as her brother, though she does not remember him. Chris' proposes using a military vehicle, stored in prison. Discovering the vehicle is not operational Bennett uses the plane to escape. The remaining group has no option but to use the sewer tunnel. The group fights their way out — Luther is trapped when the tunnel caves in - Alice, Claire, and Chris manage to escape through the sewers.

They continue to Arcadia, finding the ship completely functional, but abandoned. Exploring its inner depths, they realize that it is a trap set by Umbrella to lure survivors to the ship to conduct experiments on them. Claire now remembers what happened to her group when they arrived to Alaska: Umbrella ambushed their group when they landed on the beach, attaching the devices to them, though she managed to escape. They release the survivors, among them K-Mart, and Alice continues deeper into the ship, finding escape helicopters and a purging bomb. Deeper inward, she finds Wesker, who explains the price of his survival, is a war within himself for control against the T-Virus. By assimilating Alice, the only individual to bond successfully with the T-virus, he might be able to gain full mastery of it. At this point the crew of the ship had abandoned Wesker, terrified by his cannibalism.

Chris, Claire, and Alice battle the super-powered Wesker and seemingly kill him with help from a recovered K-Mart. Wesker does not die, but regenerate and escapes on a helicopter. He activates the purge bomb on the Arcadia in attempt to destroy the ship and kill the remaining survivors. Anticipating his actions Alice had hidden the bomb on board the helicopter, which is destroyed by the explosion. Alice, Claire, and Chris watch the destruction from the deck of the Arcadia. Unseen by them a parachute descends from the explosion, and Luther also emerges from the sewers.

Alice resolves to turn Arcadia into a real safe haven and broadcasts its message for any other survivors. As Claire, Chris, and Alice decide how to proceed with all the survivors, they see an approaching Umbrella assault fleet led by Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory), who is under the control of the same Umbrella device used on Claire.
